Why the Giants should take QB Paxton Lynch, by @ladybriant: The Giants need a franchise quarterback to build around for the long term. If it comes from the draft, the Titans are a good fit. – LDB

The NFL Draft is less than 24 hours away and the San Francisco 49ers could be in position to select Lynch in the second round.

The team drafted Sam Darnold with the seventh overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, but has yet to select another quarterback with the sixth pick.

Lynch, however, is a guy who is projected as a first-round talent.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder was a three-year starter at USC before moving on to USC.

Lynch was the first QB to win the Heisman Trophy in his college career in 2017.

He completed 72.7 percent of his passes for 2,973 yards and 13 touchdowns in just over 20 starts.

He was also the only Heisman Trophy winner in USC history to finish with more than 10 touchdown passes.

Lynch also helped the Trojans win the 2016 Pac-12 South and the 2016 National Championship.
