Today marks the first day of the NFL Draft, and we have a whole bunch of rookies, second-round picks and second-day undrafted free agents to watch.
If you missed last week’s post, here are some of the top prospects that are still eligible to sign contracts and get drafted, as well as the players who might get drafted after a few years of work.
But for now, let’s get into the top picks for Week 14.1.
New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning: Eli Manning is a player who has been mentioned a few times since he left the Denver Broncos to become a free agent in the offseason, but he still has a ton of upside.
Manning is one of the best quarterbacks in the game right now and could be a very good fit in the Giants offense.
He has shown flashes of greatness this season, and it will be interesting to see if he can take the next step.2.
Miami Dolphins cornerback Marshon Lattimore: Lattie has already proven that he can be an elite cornerback in the NFL.
Lattiimore will be in line for a contract extension, but the Dolphins will be a free agency market and it would make sense to make a trade to add another cornerback to the roster.3.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees: The Saints have been a little overvalued all season, but Brees still has plenty of talent and could make an immediate impact.
If he continues his strong play, he could be the best quarterback in the league.4.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald: The Cardinals will likely be a great team this season.
Fitzgerald is a top-tier receiver who will get some huge targets in the passing game, and he’s a great fit in Arizona’s offense.5.
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler: Chicago was a surprise pick to win the NFC North, but Cutler has proven to be a solid starter in Chicago.
He will likely get another chance to start for the Bears this season after getting benched in Week 12.6.
Buffalo Bills linebacker Khalil Mack: Mack is a young player who is in line to be one of NFL’s best inside linebackers, but there is a lot to like about him as a prospect.
He is undersized at 6-foot-2, but Mack will get a ton more playing time in Buffalo this season than he did last year.7.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers: The Packers had a strong season, especially at the quarterback position, but they also lost Jordy Nelson to the injury.
Rodgers will likely need to prove himself as the season progresses, and if he does, the Packers will be an interesting team this year.8.
Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman: Freeman is coming off a strong rookie season, where he ran for a career-high 1,076 yards and 11 touchdowns.
He had a breakout season last year and is a dangerous running back for the Falcons.9.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin: The Bucs have a very talented backfield, but Martin could be an even more dominant player.
He’s a very physical player who can be a factor in the backfield.10.
Tennessee Titans defensive end Joey Bosa: Bosa has been a huge factor in improving the Titans’ defense.
He’ll have a chance to be an impact player for them this season as he enters the final year of his contract.11.
Cleveland Browns cornerback Corey Brown: The Browns have been struggling for some time, but Brown could be one more player to help them climb out of the hole they found last year, when they were a bottom-five defense.12.
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch: Lynch is a big running back who will be the focal point of the Seahawks’ offense.
His skill set makes him a very intriguing prospect, but it will take time to see what kind of impact he can have with the Seahawks.13.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady: Brady was a top five quarterback in terms of completion percentage in the Super Bowl.
His injury has hurt his play a bit, but with the Patriots looking to improve their defense, Brady could still be a player to watch heading into the final stretch of the season.14.
New Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton: Newton has struggled to throw the ball well all season and is not expected to be the team’s starting quarterback this season either.
He needs to prove that he is capable of playing at a high level in the playoffs, but that could be his year.15.
Chicago Vikings wide receiver Laquon Treadwell: The Vikings have struggled a bit in the past couple of weeks, but Treadwes a young wideout who could make a big impact.16.
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr: Carr is one-of-the-best quarterbacks in NFL history and he has shown a lot of improvement over the past few years.
He could be
