New York Jets GM Mike Maccagnan said Tuesday he plans to select Rashard Henderson as the third running back in the first round.
The Giants are expected to draft Henderson with the No. 4 overall pick, a source told ESPN.
Henderson, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound rookie, rushed for 3,638 yards and 26 touchdowns in 16 games with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season.
He was also a two-time Pro Bowler.
New York will get a veteran with a long-term contract in the draft.
They could target former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson or former Denver Broncos running back Andre Johnson.
