FourFourSeconds ago, the Dallas Cowboys were in the thick of the NFC East race, sitting just two games behind the Washington Redskins for the top seed.
They were leading by four points in the NFC playoff race, but the Redskins had an extra day to prepare for their Week 3 clash with the New York Giants.
The Cowboys didn’t play the Giants, but it wasn’t long before they had their own Sunday night game to celebrate.
The game started at 7:30 p.m.
ET, with Dallas playing the New Orleans Saints in the first of two preseason games.
It was one of the few regular-season games Dallas would play in New Orleans on Sunday.
While the Cowboys won the game, the Saints took the field for their second preseason game against the Cowboys.
The Cowboys won that game 34-23.
On Monday, Cowboys fans were treated to another preseason game on the road against the Minnesota Vikings.
The game was set to kick off at 6:30 pm ET, but Cowboys fans showed up early and set up their seats for the first half.
The second half ended up being a complete disaster for the Cowboys, with the Vikings holding a 23-20 lead after a pair of fourth-quarter field goals.
Dallas ended up losing that game 17-10.
