NEW YORK — With the New England Patriots taking a 14-3 lead into halftime, the Atlanta Falcons started the third quarter on a 24-yard touchdown drive.
With three seconds left in the game, linebacker Devin McCourty broke up a pass by running back Matt Ryan, forcing a fumble by quarterback Matt Ryan.
The fumble was recovered by linebacker Dont’a Hightower for a first down, and the Patriots scored the go-ahead touchdown with 9:06 remaining.
The Patriots won 23-16 over the Atlanta Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.
The game was played in New England’s stadium at Gillette Stadium.
